Busiest. Weekend. Of the fastball year.
Fastball’s largest annual tournament, the ISC World Tournament gets underway Saturday, August 8 with opening round games at South Bend Indiana. Live streaming video broadcasts of selected games and events at the tournament kick off Sunday morning, with the annual Hall of Fame breakfast.
The largest intermediate and upper intermediate fastball tournament, the NAFA World Series is already underway. Their Open level was held last weekend in Seattle, with Dave Carlton’s Cal State Builders coming away with the championship trophy. The AA-Major NAFA World Series was held at Warsaw Indiana, as an accomodation to ISC World Tournament players who want to play in both the NAFA and ISC events. (Kudos to NAFA for that). Another west coast team came away with a 2015 NAFA World Series title, the CR Brewers, of Portland, OR.
This weekend, the main portion of the NAFA World Series is being played in Quad Cities IA, with the A-Major already underway.
The WBSC (formerly ISF) Junior Women’s Championship kicks off on Sunday, August 9 (through the 15th) at Oklahoma City, OK.
