Two top 10 teams square off today at 2pm EDT/11am on the west coast, the #8 ranked California A’s, and the #10 Peligro Gremlins.

Both teams drew first round byes based on their top 10 ranking, and disposed of their second round opponents handily, Peligro over Dolan & Murphy, and Cali A’s over the Toronto Batmen.
Starting pitchers are Josh Johnson for California, and Roman Godoy for Peligro. Johnson is a member of Team USA, while Godoy pitched for Argentina in the WBSC World Championship and Pan-Am games, helping to pitch Argentina to a Pan-Am bronze. Johnson is a veteran of world level play while Godoy a relative newcomer, just 1 years removed from helping to pitch Argentina’s junior men’s team to a gold medal last summer in Whitehorse (and two years before that in Parana).
Godoy is generally regarded as one of the best young pitchers in the game.
