A pair of fathers and sons squared off on opposing men’s fastpitch softball teams Sunday when the Midland Explorers Legends and Carey split a doubleheader at Currie Stadium.
Carey won the first game 4-2, with Rick Engle earning the victory and Andy Rohn taking the loss.
For Carey, Nick Lashuay went 2-for-5 with a home run and Brendan Haut went 2-for-4 with a homer. Their fathers, Steve Lashuay and Darren Haut, played for the Legends.
Todd Schultz was 2-for-3 with a home run and Ken Haut was 2-for-2 for the Legends.
