NY Gremlins Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Hill United
Gremlins’ Kirkpatrick, Palazzo and Abrey each drive in 3
NY Gremlins jumped out to an early lead over Hill United and took home a 12-3 victory on Sunday. NY Gremlins took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
NY Gremlins captured the lead in the first inning. With one out in the first inning Andrew Kirkpatrick drove in three runs when he homered.
NY Gremlins scored five runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Blair Ezekiel and a home run by Bryan Abrey.
Roman Godoy earned the win for NY Gremlins. He went five innings, allowing three runs, five hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Adam Folkard took the loss for Hill United. He threw two and a third innings, allowing seven runs, six hits, and striking out three.
Home runs for NY Gremlins came when Kirkpatrick homered in the first inning, Matt Palazzohomered in the third inning, and Abrey homered in the fourth inning. Home runs for Hill United came when Brad Ezekiel homered in the third inning and Nico Carril homered in the fifth inning.
NY Gremlins collected 11 hits. Rafael Flores, Ezekiel, Ladlisao Malarczuk, and Abrey each collected multiple hits for NY Gremlins. Abrey, Malarczuk, Ezekiel, and Flores each collected two hits to lead NY Gremlins.
Ezekiel went 1-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in. Hill United didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jason Sanford had the most chances in the field with nine.
