OKLAHOMA CITY — Under the auspices of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and as the National Governing Body (NGB) for softball in the United States, USA Softball is accepting applications for the Men’s National Team Coaches Pool (MNTCP) and Junior Men’s National Team Coaches Pool (JMNTCP) for the 2021-2024 Quadrennium. Coaches may serve in multiple pools if they can show that they have the time available for the commitment and are selected to serve in multiple pools. The MNTCP will be responsible for any Men’s National Teams that represent the U.S. where the male athlete is 19 years or older (Ex. U-22 and U-23). The JMNTCP will be responsible for any Junior Men’s National Teams where the male athlete is age 18 or younger (Ex. U-17 and U-18). The USA Softball Men’s National Team Selection Committee (MNTSC) and Junior Men’s National Team Selection Committee (JMNTSC) will select coaches for the coaching pool. Pool coaches may be required to participate in international competition, player evaluations, selection trials, fundraising efforts for the Men’s and Junior Men’s Programs and other specified events as part of the evaluation process. Coaches will work under the direction of the USA Softball Director of National Teams, Chris Sebren. The schedule for the USA Softball MNT, U-23 MNT and U-18 MNT has yet to be finalized for the 2021-2024 cycle, but those international calendars will be highlighted by the Americas Qualifiers as well as the WBSC World Cups. To be considered as a candidate for the pool, please e-mail a letter of interest and resume to arrive no later than November 20, 2020, which must include: national coaching and/or playing experience, international coaching and/or playing experience, clinic and/or speaking experience, and reasons you would like to be a member of the Men’s National Team and/or Junior Men’s National Team Coaching Pool.
