Early Lead For J&B Seals Fate For Rio Grande Senators
Rio Grande Senators fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-1 loss to J&B on Sunday.
J&B opened up scoring in the second inning. Tony Mancha‘s wild pitch allowed one run to score for J&B.
Justin Schofield pitched J&B to victory. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out 15.
Mancha took the loss for Rio Grande Senators. The hurler surrendered four runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out 11.
Travis Havins went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Rio Grande Senators in hits.
Julio Cesar Rodriguez Pena led J&B with two hits in four at bats. J&B was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Rafael Angel Flores Sanchez made the most plays with 15.
