2021 ISC World Tournament – Winner’s Bracket Final Four Set as Hallman Twins and Hill United Advance

Hallman Twins Edge J&B While Hill United Cruises Past AWP Lumberjacks

Two of the four Winner’s Bracket Elite Eight games Monday were decided in extra innings, with Kegel Black Knights besting Circle Tap 4-3, while the Kitchener Hallman Twins advanced with a 2-1 8 inning victory. The favorites of the tournament, Hill United and the New York Gremlins, meanwhile cruised to victory in their Elite Eight games Monday, setting up a collision of the titans in a Winner’s Bracket Semi-Final game Wednesday night at 6PM Central time, while Kegel Black Knights and Kitchener Hallman Twins will square off in the nightcap at 8PM Central.

J&B Drops Game To Kitchener Hallman Twins After Late Score

Monday’s game against Kitchener Hallman Twins was a heartbreaker for J&B, as they lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat. The game was tied at one with Kitchener Hallman Twins batting in the top of the eighth when Reilly Makea singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Kitchener Hallman Twins pitchers struck out 15, while J&B sat down 11.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, J&B tied things up at one. Rafael Angel Flores Sanchez hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Huemul Mata took the win for Kitchener Hallman Twins. The ace went eight innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out 15.

Justin Schofield took the loss for J&B. Schofield surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out six and walking one.

Sean Cleary started the game for J&B. Cleary went four innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five

Kristopher Walushka went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead J&B in hits.

Kitchener Hallman Twins didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ryan Boland had the most chances in the field with 16.

AWP Lumberjacks Takes A Tough Blow From Hill United Chiefs

Nothing came easy for AWP Lumberjacks on Monday, as they fell 11-0 to Hill United Chiefs

One bright spot for AWP Lumberjacks was a single by Carlos Carreno in the first inning.

Devon McCullough pitched Hill United Chiefs to victory. The hurler went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out 12.

Martin Gonzalez took the loss for AWP Lumberjacks. The bulldog surrendered six runs on three hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Carreno led AWP Lumberjacks with one hit in two at bats.

Hill United Chiefs racked up eight hits in the game. Bradley Ezekiel, Shane Boland, and Bruno Motroni each collected multiple hits for Hill United Chiefs. Hill United Chiefs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Motroni had the most chances in the field with 12.
