Both Elimination Bracket contests Thursday were closely fought contests. Kegel broke the 3-3 tie in the 7th with 2 runs, while AWP Lumberjacks came back with one run in the bottom of the 7th, coming up just a run short.

Hill United bounced back from their extra inning loss to the NY Gremlins Wednesday night, scoring three runs early, on the strength of home runs by Bradley Ezekiel and Steve Mullaley (is there ever a big game these two don’t homer in?). J&B’s Sean Cleary settled in for the rest of the contest though, keeping his team within reach, striking out 12. J&B would not go quietly into the night, rallying for two runs in the top of the 7th, with Chirinos Medina driving in Canadians Derek Mason and Blake Hunter. But the rally came up short, with Hill United advancing to a Friday night contest against the Kegel Black Knights at 6PM local (Central Time).
