NY’s Zenon Winters 3-run Home Run in 4th Keys Win for Gremlins
In Friday night’s Winner’s Bracket final between the last two undefeated teams, the New York Gremlins and Kitchener Hallmark Twins, it was the Twins leading into the bottom of the 4th inning, 3-1, on the strength of home runs from Mariano Montero and Jonathan Lynch, with ace Huemul Mata pitching. The Gremlin’s Erick Ochoa led off the bottom of the 4th with a double, followed by a walk to Wayne Laulu which put the tying run aboard. (understandable caution pitching to Laulu considering his walk-off home run heroics from the night before). That brought veteran Zenon Winters to the plate.
