Bases clearing Double in 6th by Jason Hill catapults Hill United to ISC World Title, 7-4 over the New York Gremlins.
Hill United’s Jason Hill saved his best for last. Hill went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, breaking a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the 6th to hand the New York Gremlins their first (and only) loss of the tournament, and with it, catapulted Hill United to the 2021 ISC World Tournament title.
Hill United’s defense played a big part of their success on the night, stealing a number of home runs from the Gremlins. Bradley Ezekiel stole two of them.
Wayne Laulu nearly tied the game in the bottom of the 7th, with two aboard, sending a long fly ball to the fence for the final out.
Hill United’s ISC Championship was their first since 2017, and denied the NY Gremlins attempt to 3-peat, having won the title in back to back years in 2018 and 2019.

New York Gremlins Falls To Hill United Chiefs After Seventh Inning Score
New York Gremlins stayed in it until the end, but Hill United Chiefs pulled away late in a 7-4 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Hill United Chiefs batting in the top of the seventh when Jason Hill doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.
Hill United Chiefs fired up the offense in the second inning, when an error scored two runs for Hill United Chiefs.
In the top of the sixth inning, Hill United Chiefs tied things up at four. An error scored one run for Hill United Chiefs.
New York Gremlins notched three runs in the third inning. Jerome Raemaki and Erick Ochoa all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Devon McCullough earned the victory in the circle for Hill United Chiefs. The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six. Patrick Burns threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Josh Pettett took the loss for New York Gremlins. The hurler surrendered four runs on six hits over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
