SURREY, BC, Canada –– Despite outhitting Triple Crown (T.C.) Colorado in today’s Canada Cup matchup, the U.S. Women’s National Team (WNT) came up short after an intense seven innings of back-and-forth action resulted in a 5-4 loss. Sending her first ball out of the park in a Team USA uniform was Oklahoma’s Jocelyn Alo who led the U.S. offense with a 3-for-4 day at the plate followed by Washington’s Baylee Klingler who totaled two hits on the day. |
The Eagles are back in action tomorrow, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. PT against Czech Republic and 9 p.m. PT against Chinese Taipei followed by the final game of pool play against Aussie Spirit on June 23 at 8:30 p.m. PT. Following the conclusion of pool play, the top four teams from each pool will advance to the Playoff Round with the final two teams going head-to-head in the Canada Cup gold medal matchup on Sunday, June 26.
