The Kitchener Hallman Twins came into the 2022 ISC World Tournament as the #1 ranked team, and sealed their claim on the top spot, with a 3-0 shutout win over the New York Gremlins in the 2022 ISC title game. Kitchener ace, Argentine Hueml Mata threw a pair of shutouts in the final two games for his team, a 2-0 shutout of California JB in the Winner’s bracket final, and a 3-0 shutout of the New York Gremlins.
The Gremlins, playing in their fourth consecutive ISC Championship game, won two games on the final day of the tournament, eliminating Bear Creek Express and California JB, before falling to Kitchener. It was an exhausting ask of the Gremlins, to play two on the final day, while Kitchener rested, but rest that Kitchener had earned by running the table against all comers, while the Gremlins lost a close game in the winner’s bracket semi-finals.

Huemul Mata had all the right stuff on Saturday for Hallman Twins, allowing zero runs and besting NY Gremlins by a score of 3-0
The pitching was strong on both sides. Mata struck out 14, while NY Gremlins pitchers sat down seven.
A single by Mathieu Roy in the first inning was a positive for NY Gremlins.
Mata was the winning pitcher for Hallman Twins. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on five hits over seven innings, striking out 14.
Joshua Pettett took the loss for NY Gremlins. The pitcher went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out six and walking one.
Hallman Twins scattered six hits in the game. Blaine Milheim and Marshall Kronk each managed multiple hits for Hallman Twins. Kronk and Milheim each collected two hits to lead Hallman Twins. Hallman Twins was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Juan Zara had the most chances in the field with 14.
