Organization Seeking donation of 100+ used softballs for Police Appreciation Day
FastpitchWest is assisting a fellow fastballer in collecting used softballs for an organization’s 27th Annual Police Officer Appreciation Day, to be held on October 1, 2022.
They wrap the balls in aluminum foil, then shoot them out of a couple cannons aiming at a target. They use about 150-200 softballs a year for the event.
The fellow that is working to collect the balls played fastpitch at the National level in the 1980’s, playing his last game at the 2008 ISC Legends tournament. He remains a fan of the game, traveling to this year’s tournament from Indiana, attending the ISC and Legends finals.
