DC Galway Walks Away Victorious Over ON2 Toronto Batmen, 4-1
DC Galway wins contest against ON2 Toronto Batmen, 4-1
DC Galway fired up the offense in the first inning, when Colin Walsh singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Sean Cleary took the win for DC Galway. Cleary surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Ty Sebastian took the loss for ON2 Toronto Batmen. The bulldog went one inning, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking one.
DC Galway racked up nine hits on the day. Brad Ezekiel, Walsh, and Stephen Mullaley all collected multiple hits for DC Galway. Mullaley, Walsh, and Ezekiel all had two hits to lead DC Galway. DC Galway was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Ryan Boland had the most chances in the field with seven.
Sebastian led ON2 Toronto Batmen with two hits in two at bats.

Scoring
In the DC Galway first inning, Shane Boland led off with a single to center field. He advanced to second on a fly ball to right field by Brad Ezekiel. After Ryan Boland walked, Colin Walsh stroked a two-out line drive single to left field, scoring Shane Boland for the first run of the game.
DC Galway added another run in the fourth when Steve Mullaley led off with a single, advanced to second on a sacrifice by Kyle Ezekiel. Mullaley advanced to third on a wild pitch, then scored on an infield single to second by Matthieu Roy.
Two more runs in the DC Galway fourth gave the host team a commanding 4-0 lead as the game headed into the late innings, with pitcher Sean Cleary tossing a stellar game, scattering 4 hits while striking out 7.
Ryan Boland opened the DC Galway fifth inning with a single, followed by a hard single to center by Colin Walsh, putting runners at second and third on the throw. After pinch runner Dalton scored on a wild pitch, a line drive singled by Jason Hill plated Walsh for the second run of the inning.
ON Toronto avoided the shutout when Ty Sebastian hit a solo home run to lead off the Toronto sixth.
