The tournament is a qualifier for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup, set to take place in Hermosillo, Mexico, from 11 to 19 November.
A total of seven teams have so far been confirmed for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup: No. 2 Australia, No. 3 Japan, No. 6 Czechia, No. 7 New Zealand, No. 10 Mexico (hosts), No. 12 Singapore and No. 17 Israel.
Held in Sincelejo, Colombia, the U.S. will look to qualify for the WBSC U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup set to take place in Hermosillo, Mexico later this year.
Highlighted by three veterans who competed in the 2020 U-18 Junior World Championship, the 14-player roster includes 11 rookies who will get their career debut in the Red, White and Blue. At the helm of the U-18 MJNT roster is first-time head coach Tony Aresco who previously served as an assistant coach with the 2018 and 2020 MJNT. Joining Aresco in Colombia will be returning assistant coaches Avon Meacham and Bob Piddock.
