Day 2 Schedule for 2024 USA Softball Men’s Winter Classic – Fort Meyers Florida – Friday Jan. 26

Round Robin – Friday Jan 26 + Start of Playoff Round

Most teams have played two of their three pool play games as Day 2 begins.?Two of the world’s best, the New York Gremlins and Hill United Chiefs are 2-0, with big wins on Thursday, January 25.

The New York Gremlins are the #1 ranked team in the World, off of their 36-2 season in 2023, in which they won every tournament that they played in, including the two “majors”, i.e. USA Softball National Championship in Mankato Minnesota and the ISC World Tournament in Denmark Wisconsin.?The Gremlins scored run rule victories Thursday, a 7-0 win over AWP Lumberjacks, followed by a 12-0 win over Loyalty, the Venezuelan entry in the Winter Classic.?The Gremlins will play the Toronto Batmen at 10am Friday.

The Hill United Chiefs defeated the NorthEast Drillers 180 by a 9-2 score, and the Homer Yard Goats, 12-0, in a 4 inning contest, to take a 2-0 record into Day 2 of the tournament.?Hill United will play Miami in their final pool play game Friday at 10:00. a.m.

Pool Play games resume today, starting at 10am, followed by another set of games at 12:00 pm. to round out pool play.?Playoffs are slated to start Friday at 3:00 p.m. with seeding determined by team records and tie breaking formulas, if any.

The tournament will conclude Saturday with the final round of playoff games.
