The New York Gremlins, coming off of their remarkable 36-2 season in 2023, which saw them winning both majors, the USA Softball National Championship and ISC World Tournament, added top hurler New Zealander Daniel Chapman. Chap pitched last year with Gremlins rival, the Hill United Chiefs, brings WBSC World Cup level experience and talent to the Gremlins, and depth to an already stellar pitching staff. Chapman will join fellow New Zealanders Ben Enoka, Jerome Raemaki, Cole Evans, and Tane Mumu on the 2024 New York Gremlins squad.
With longtime New York Gremlins pitching great Andrew Kirkpatrick retiring after last season, the addition of Chapman and Czech Republic youngster Kuba Osicka this year signals that skipper Gregg Leather has his sights on another banner year in 2024. The Gremlins’ National Championship win at Mankato, Minnesota gave them eight (8) USA National titles, second only to the legendary Clearwater Bombers who had ten.
