The first game of the day at Mundialistas Hermosillenses Stadium will be the Phillipines vs Australia. Both teams lost in their debuts yesterday, and will be looking for a much needed win to stay in the mix for the playoffs.
Australia was downed by Venezuela in the first game of the tournament, 7-0. The Aussie lineup only managed to hit safely three times, while their ace Jack Besgrove allowed six hits and four runs, with a walk and nine strikeouts. On the other hand, the Philippines outhit yesterday Dominican Republic 9-7, but lost the game 5-2.
Mexico and Venezuela will collide in the second game at Fernando Ortiz Stadium. After their 7-0 wins yesterday, only one of them will remain undefeated tonight. For the World Cup, their last game was in 2015 in Saskatoon, Canada, when Venezuela beat the Mexicans, 6-1. However, their last official matchup was last year, in the Central American and Caribbean Games, when Mexico prevailed in an eight-inning, 12-11 slugfest. First pitch is scheduled at 20:00.
The last game of the day will see Australia and Dominican Republic taking the Mundialistas Hermosillenses field at 21:00. This will be their third game of the competition.

17:00 – Dominican Republic (DOM) vs. Czechia (CZE)
The action begins at Estadio Fernando M. Ortiz, where the Dominican Republic (DOM) will face off against Czechia (CZE) in a Group A clash at 17:00 local time. Both teams will be looking to secure a crucial win to boost their chances of advancing to the next round.

18:00 – Philippines (PHI) vs. Australia (AUS)
Later, at 18:00, the Estadio Mundialistas Hermosillenses will host another Group A encounter between the Philippines (PHI) and Australia (AUS). The Australians, ranked 2nd in the world, will be the favorites, but the Philippines will be eager to cause an upset.
21:00 – Mexico (MEX) vs. Venezuela (VEN)
The evening games promise to be the highlights of the day. At 20:00, hosts Mexico (MEX) will take on Venezuela (VEN) at Estadio Fernando M. Ortiz in a battle between two of the tournament’s strongest teams. With both sides coming off impressive wins on Day 1, this match has all the makings of a classic.
21:00 -Australia (AUS) vs. the Dominican Republic (DOM)
Finally, at 21:00, Australia (AUS) will be back in action, this time against the Dominican Republic (DOM) at Estadio Mundialistas Hermosillenses. This will be the second game of the day for both teams, testing their endurance and depth.
