Ben Enoka drove in four runs on two hits to lead NY Gremlins past Canadians 11-1 on Sunday at G6 D1. WG1.
In the second inning, Enoka hit a grand slam to left field. NY Gremlins scored six runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Mathieu Roy drew a walk, scoring one run, Enoka hit a grand slam to left field, and Cole Evans hit a solo home run to center field. NY Gremlins got on the board in the first inning after Erick Ochoa grounded out, scoring one run. Brody Fraser hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the fifth for the Canadians.
Jack Besgrove led things off in the circle for NY Gremlins. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking none. Tyler Lindgrin started in the circle for Canadians. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and seven runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking five.
Pablo Migliavacca appeared in relief for NY Gremlins. Roy and Enoka each collected two hits for NY Gremlins. Blake Hunter paced NY Gremlins with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. NY Gremlins were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Nick Mullins had the most chances in the field with nine.
Matt Deutsch, Ron Daines, Miles Martinyuk, Fraser, and Greg Garrity each collected one hit for Canadians. Fraser went 1-for-1 at the plate as the infielder led the team with one run batted in.
The Gremlins’ Gonzalo Masmu had three RBI with a bases loaded double.
