SHANE BOLAND drove in four runs on two hits to lead HILL UNITED CHIEFS past Pueblo Bandits 6-1 on Monday. In the second inning, BOLAND hit a grand slam to center field. HILL UNITED CHIEFS scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to center field by NICK WHITE on a full count. Anton Brown hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the seventh for the Pueblo Bandits. ROMAN GODOY earned the win for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking none. Gustavo Valdez took the loss for Pueblo Bandits. The right-handed pitcher went four innings, allowing four runs on two hits, striking out three and walking four. MICHAL HOLOBRADEK pitched one inning of no-run ball for HILL UNITED CHIEFS in relief. They surrendered one hit, striking out one and walking none. BOLAND paced HILL UNITED CHIEFS with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting four walks for the game. LENNY VILLALVAZO stole two bases. HILL UNITED CHIEFS ran wild on the base paths, collecting three stolen bases for the game. HILL UNITED CHIEFS turned one double play in the game. HILL UNITED CHIEFS were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. TONY GONZALEZ made the most plays with six. Brown led Pueblo Bandits with one run batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
Hill United will play again Wednesday night at 6pm against the winner of tonight’s 8pm game between #7 JB and #10 Kegal Black Knights.
