Argentina ended their participation in the International Test Match climbing the top step of the podium, ahead of Australia Green by 4 to 0 in the match for third place. Once again Juan Potolicchio did a job as a surgeon from the circle, shutting the home team and allowing only 1 hit. Earlier, in for the roun robin match, against Argentina Australia Gold fell by 3 to 1. The latter team will be crowned champion in the final by beating New Zealand by 5 to 1.

Juan Potolicchio re-stitch the corners of the plate, with an outstanding performance. With only 1 hit allowed, sentenced to 14 batters rivals in seven innings to claim victory. Yesterday, John had taken similar action, which allowed Argentina beat Australia Gold (winner of the tournament) for 3 to 0.

As in the victory over Australia Gold, Argentina opened the scoring in the first inning. With one out in the whiteboard, Francisco Sabaté able to walk to first base, and Fernando Petric brought to the plate with a homer to left field. In the fifth inning, our team expanded the gap and scored the final two races of the tour. Bolzán Kevin opened the inning with a single and stole second. This was enough for Petric to bring him home with a single to center field. The same Petric would score from third on a few turns later, thanks to a sacrifice fly to center of Manuel Godoy. This would put the matter final figures.

With aluminum in hand, the great figure in Argentina was Fernando Petric, who went 3 of 3 (HR, 2 singles), with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. In addition, Fernando Rua went 2 for 3, Nicholas Bittor 1 3 and Mariano Montero 1 of 2.

Earlier, Argentina had closed the round robin with a narrow defeat against Australia Gold, which eventually be crowned champion of the event. The game was tied 1 to 1 until the seventh, when the locals scored the two runs that gave him the victory. A great pitching duel that ended with 4 hits for the Australians and only 1 hit for us. The loser was Maxi Montero, while Adam Humble took the victory.

This time it was Australia Gold who hit first, scoring on its first foray into bat. Nathan Jones hit double against the release of Maxi Montero, and scored thanks to a defensive error, putting the game 1 to 0.

Argentina’s reaction would come in third. Sacks received a free passport Germain, stole second base and scored immediately, thanks to Marcelo Malatesta single to right field (the only hit of the game to Argentina). That was all he could do our line up against the release of Adam Humble.

The two races that define the game come on top of the seventh. The hosts opened the inning with consecutive hits Havercroft and Patterson, who advanced to second and third respectively on a sacrifice bunt. With two outs on the board, and the bases loaded and Andrew Kirkpatrick Zenon Winters consecutive Montero receive tickets and boost and win races.

In this way, Argentina ended their tour of Australia with a positive balance, and that not only had very good results (undefeated in the Skins Tournament, and third in the International Test Match), but also was given international exposure to all players, beginning to assemble the team that will represent Argentina in the Pan American Softball Championship (World Cup qualifier 2013), where Argentina stands the bronze medal.
