VIII International Softball Cup Mayor of the City of Guayaquil, Ecuador (Sept 15-25, 2011)

LIGA DEL SUR (ADUC) of Guayaquil, Ecuador, is pleased to extend to all interested teams a cordial invitation to participate in the VIII International Softball Tournament “Copa Mayor of the City of Guayaquil”

We maintain over 10 years International Cup Softball Mayor City of Guayaquil with the participation of Nationals Teams and the best Softball Clubs in Latin America, in 2010 we had the participation of the Club Me …troagua of Santa Marta, Colombia and the Independent League of Panama was a successful tournament where was the first time ourl Team LIGA DEL SUR, won the tournament, Douglas and David Muñoz, Gutenberg and Jose Sol, Carlos Castro, Jaime Mora and Jorge Plaza, Ecuadorian South guys, born in Guayaquil and were formed in our league are part of our best players, support by Venezuela Softball elite players Ramon Jones, John Garcia and Rafael Flores, was a tournament that was echoed inside and outside the country and we have teams for the nest international Cup 2011.

The organization hopes to have the participation of several top teams from Colombia, Panama, Aruba, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Venezuela against the best exponents of Softball Ecuador. The event has the endorsement of the Ecuadorian Federation of Softball, and will be held at our stadium “Hector Ballesteros Álvarez” from 15 to 25 September.

Women’s Softball in 2010 in the Mayor’s Cup for the first time we had the participation of women, Softball teams of Guayquil reinforced by international players from Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia, was a success thanks to support from the Softball Association of Guayas and Ecuadorian Federation of Softball, our players like Lorena CHACHI Pincay, Johana Cabezas, Maria Fernanda Teran, Mercedes Murillo and Anisa Brito are formed in the Club players who took part and became Vice Champion, the Team Champion was GUAYAS, and the next year have promised to join the Women´s National Softball team of Peru and Panama as well as teams from Puerto Rico and the U.S., and this motivates us even more committed to the future.

With a cozy atmosphere in the beautiful city of Guayaquil “Pearl of the Pacific” during the performance of the tournament, players can enjoy a magnificent climate 28 º C can visit the main tourism spots available to the main port of Ecuador.

Tournament ground that has been developing since 2001, has been among the champions teams like Aborigenes (RD) on two occasions, Venezuela, National Team of Colombia, Mexico and Panama.

The organization provides lodging, meals and local transportation in the city for 20 persons per delegation, leaving open the registration until August 15 for selections and equipment, male and female who want to compete in this event.
