New Providence won both the men and women’s National Fast Pitch Softball titles for the 2010 season and now the quest has begun in various island softball associations nation wide to become the 2011 men and women’s national champions.
New Providence won both the men and women’s National Fast Pitch Softball titles for the 2010 season and now the quest has begun in various island softball associations nation wide to become the 2011 men and women’s national champions.
In the capital the New Providence Softball Association (NPSA) began their season under new president Romel Knowles with a lot of fanfare and two blockbuster match ups at the Bankers Field in the Baillou Hills Sports Complex.
There were fireworks, a marching band singing and more. The Minister of Youth Sports and Culture, Charles Maynard, Bahamas Olympic Committee President, Wellington Miller, and Bahamas Softball Federation President Burkette Dorsett was also present for the opening that was well attended.
