Really Only 8 Teams in ASA A & B Combined !!!

3 teams?!…5 teams?!… If I ran this organization, I’d be embarassed!
Johnny Golightly says
It really is sad to see a total of 8 teams representing both the A and B classifications. Yet other organizations consistently draw 30-50 teams in their National tournaments. The ASA has lost track of its Mens game completely. If they aren’t careful the success they have now with their women’s and youth programs will also disappear as more options become available for teams.

Any results from the ASA games in Fresno ?
Bret Swanson says
I really see what your saying about the lack of teams. I think some teams decide to save $$ money and use it later for the ISC.
The ASA Major is in South Bend,Indiana starting this coming Thursday. The ISC is a week later like the 14th of August. I think these teams are staying local for just the reason not to travel back and forth twice in two weeks time.

Why did they Move it from Labor day Weekend ? That and Why California ? The East Coast is where all the “A” and “B” Teams are ? Can’t Blame East Coast Teams Not wanting to Participate in a Lackluster Tourney !!! There are Better Local Tourney’s and not have to Pay for flights. No Payout to win !!! Trophies Don’t buy much !!! Put up some Prize Money and it will bring in more teams !!!

This is what the Amateur Slowpitch Association reaps after turning its back on the men’s game for the last two decades! I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner.
