YUCAIPA, CA – I received my order of 150 books entitled “We Play It Fast” and I’m ready to ship to those who may be interested.
THE BASICS:
• Size, 8 ½ x 11. Soft cover.
• 76 stories
• 208 photos (black and white except for laminated color front cover).
• About half NAFA and ISC related stories.
• Stories extend from my early writing to present day, from 2010 NAFA World Series “A” division level to the ISC level of play.
• Several stories from contributing writers such as Milt Stark, Kyle Beane, Marc Gillis, Glen Cook, Joe Avila, Bill Hillhouse, Brian Groehler…
• Book’s theme: documentary and memoir told in reportorial / storyteller’s voice. Several stand-alone photos with extended captions.COSTS, INCLUDING SHIPPING CHARGES:
• In U.S. $23; Canada $27; New Zealand $35. (Other countries, price to be determined based on shipping charges).
• It appears that shipping charges are about $14 to NZ. For interested New Zealanders, perhaps you may want to wait until some reviews come in from buyers about the book. I don’t want anyone disappointed from undue expectations. I’m an average writer producing what I hope is a somewhat interesting fastpitch book. It’s not great by any stretch of my imagination.BOOKS AVAILABLE:
• Only 135. Because of publishing costs I could only afford to print 150, of which 15 go to family, friends and those who helped me out.
• I’ve set aside books for those who have said they want to buy one – such as the contributing writers. (If you’ve changed your mind, please let me know.)
• If there’s a demand, I can have more books printed. But I didn’t want to get stuck with a lot of unsold books and catch the wrath of the family (wife) accountant.
