Wow! Is this correct, Team Canada lost to a Pick up team from Mexico? What does this say about team Canada. Mexico had two of four teams in the final sixteen with diamanté finishing in final four..

All it says is that there is competitive fastpitch in many other places other than California, Canada, etc. That Diamantes team plays all over South Texas in both winning and losing efforts.

Last year’s 4th of July tournament in San Antonio had several standout pitchers (Potolicchio, Gervasutti, Montero, Escobedo (diamantes), D. Scott, Farion, and more) as it does every year. Yes you find disparity in some match ups especially on Saturday mornings but come Sunday you could be facing the eventual ISC Most Outstanding Pitcher and WIN the game. Good times in my book especially for a pick up team.

Amen my brother. It is hard to call the Diamantes a pick up team. They play together with the same guys at all tournaments that they show up to. They have multiple guys that play on the Mexican National Team. It isn’t a shock at all that they beat Team Canada, just goes to show that on any given day anyone can be better.

I was surprised how well team minni hit. They must have hit about 10 homeruns. Saw a couple long
ones by both forre and palaazo. Owen, Lamers and one of the Darlings also had jacks. Gullick hit very
well too. Both blackshaw and big sexy looked very good. The coach didnt seem to have a problem having
big sexy pitch and big sexy in turn delivered. gose pitched well in limited innings. A nice team of guys
who always seem to play well. They really hit well until their first and 3rd games on Sunday. Won a 1-0
game that blackshaw pitched in the first one and got blitzed by Hill in the championship. Heard about
half the guys on the team are retiring from open ball – too bad the game needs these players who
showed they can still play the game.
