What happend to Team Canada? Werent they the favorites? They didnt even make it to the semi-finals WOW. Alot of the favored teams had some big scares as the final sixteen teams dwindled down. There were some new pitching faces that opend teams eyes. They need to be playing ISC’s!!!!
Just some observations from an avid fastpitch fan. Canada got cocky and before they got Donnie Scott in the game it was over. Canada is going to have to get better pitching . Diamantes got hot bats and that was it. Andy Blackshaw pitched brilliant the last day with Team Minnesota beating good Venezuela team and Diamantes after they beat Team Canada. He wore down against Hill United which were lucky to reach finals. On Saturday Padres de Venezuela had them on the ropes before they brought in Adam Folkard. In Saturdays semi final Juan Potolicchio with the Minnesota Angels had the game under control until THREE infield errors with two outs changed a 1-0 game to 4-1. Adam Folkard did not look as sharp as I have seen him before. Speed not quite the same. Minnesota batter hit a homerun to make it 4-2 and ball just jumped out of the park.. Again Andy and Juan looked like pitchers on the rise.
