Hill United Chiefs defeat NE Drillers in Opening Game at Chief’s Challenge at Simcoe Ontario

LENNY VILLALVAZO collected three hits in three at bats, as HILL UNITED CHIEFS defeated NorthEast Drillers 18O 8-2 on Friday. LENNY VILLALVAZO hit a solo home run to center field in the fourth inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS scored five runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. LENNY VILLALVAZO hit a solo home run to center field, NICK WHITE homered to right field, scoring two runs, and BRADLEY EZEKIEL homered to center field, scoring two runs.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after QUINTEN BRUCE singled, scoring one run, and LENNY VILLALVAZO doubled, scoring two runs.

MARCO DIAZ stepped in the circle first for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Huemul Mata stepped in the circle first for NorthEast Drillers 18O. They surrendered seven hits and eight runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking three. ROMAN GODOY pitched two innings of no-run ball for HILL UNITED CHIEFS in relief. The reliever surrendered three hits, striking out four and walking none.

SHANE BOLAND collected two hits for HILL UNITED CHIEFS in three at bats. JOSH MCGOVERN led HILL UNITED CHIEFS with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. HILL UNITED CHIEFS didn’t commit a single error in the field. TONY GONZALEZ had the most chances in the field with seven.

Cam Schiller drove the middle of the lineup, leading NorthEast Drillers 18O with two runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Blaine Milheim went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead NorthEast Drillers 18O in hits. Teo Migliavacca collected two hits for NorthEast Drillers 18O in four at bats. NorthEast Drillers 18O turned one double play in the game. NorthEast Drillers 18O didn’t commit a single error in the field. Juan Zara had the most chances in the field with 11.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS will travel to Midland Explorers for their next game on Saturday.
