Ashland Invitational Set to Showcase Top Fastpitch Talent

The 2024 Ashland Invitational is gearing up for an action-packed weekend of elite men’s fastpitch softball on July 19-21 at Brookside Park in Ashland, Ohio. This prestigious tournament will feature some of the top teams in North America, promising intense competition and thrilling matchups.

Headlining the event are the #1 ranked New York Gremlins. Fans unable to attend in person can catch all of the Gremlins’ games live on the GREMLINS NETWORK , with Ballpark Broadcasting’s announcer Jim Flanagan providing play-by-play commentary.

Other notable teams in the tournament, and their current ISC Fastpitch (Mid-season) ranking include:

• #6 Circle Tap Dukes
• #8 AWP Lumberjacks
• #16 Midland Explorers
• #19 Ohio Bombers

The tournament kicks off Friday evening with two exciting matchups. The nightcap will feature the #1 ranked New York Gremlins against the #6 ranked Circle Tap Dukes, which will be broadcast live on the GREMLINS NETWORK. The Gremlins boast a 14-2 record, while Circle Tap is coming off a runner-up finish in the Boys of Summer Tournament held last weekend. Circle Tap nearly upset #2 ranked Hill United Chiefs in the title game, holding a 4-0 lead into the late innings.

Saturday will be a full day of round-robin play, featuring seven games that will determine seeding for Sunday’s finals. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 PM.

All games will take place on Diamond 1 at Brookside Park in Ashland Ohio. For those unable to attend, select games will be streamed on Softball Premier TV in addition to the Gremlins Network coverage.
