2nd Annual Maccabi Invitational on December 11th at El Dorado in Long Beach. We have renamed the event “the BreederRupp” to honor our injured teammates, Dave Blackburn and Ronnie Rupp.

The event will serve as a fund raiser for the Charlotte Blackburn fund in memory of Dave’s Mom. We are inviting all Maccabi USA players to come, past and present, plus as many of Dave and Ronnie’s teammates over the years.

Additional info:

Tournament will use 1:45 time limit with a 5-inning minimum and a California Tie Breaker system.

There will be Fiji Water for all the teams and Fernie Jr. is likely going to run a snack bar. If the park doesn’t allow the snack bar, I will alert all the teams beforehand.

Also, a lot of players are asking about donations for Breeder / Ronnie. We will be selling commemorative t-shirts, have a few ways to donate on site and anyone can go to www.maccabiusa.com
at anytime.

All proceeds raised by this event will be going to the Charlotte Blackburn Fund in memory of Dave’s mother, Charlotte, who passed a few weeks back. The fund will help get a Maccabi athlete who needs financial assistance to the Maccabi games in Israel in 2013. Ronnie insisted this be the case for this years event.
