The boys are back in town! The best 16 softball teams in the world are back, over 270 of the best players on the planet return, and they will give Saskatoon another 10 days of pure excitement. Saskatoon has long been a hotbed for men’s softball and will be the only city in the world to host this event three times, following highly successful events held in 1988 and 2009. In 2009, over 50,000 fans came into the two host ball parks, Bob Van Impe Stadium and Gordie Howe Fastball Field. They joined more than 400 volunteers to make this the most successful Men’s World Softball Championship ever. There is little doubt that when the boys come back in town this summer, the action will be amazing.
