AAU Tournament Live on Ballparkradio at 5pm EST Tonight!

If our dial up connection cooperates, it looks like we will be broadcasting live from the Disney Complex in Orlando, Florida. Fedlock, DC/MI vs. Team Minnesota in a quarterfinal game; 5pm EST, adjust your timezone accordingly.

Pool play games concluded Friday night, 42 games later. 24 of the 28 teams enter the single elimination championship bracket, with the top 8 teams earning first round byes, earned by winning their respective pools. The “Elite Eight” are:

Under sunny blue skies this afternoon and a temperature of 65 degrees F, the 2006 AAU Men’s International Fastpitch Tournament began with a slate of 6 games at 4 PM. Six more games are currently underway to conclude this first day of play. Play begins Friday morning with 6 games each at the following times: 9 & 11 AM, 1, 3 and 5 PM. This will conclude the round robin portion of the tournament.

The AAU International Tournament at the Wide World of Sports complex at Orlando, Florida begings Thursday, January 19, 2006, and runs through Sunday, January 22, 2006. Click here for AAU Pools and Schedule. First pitch is 4pm EST Thursday. 28 teams, two days of round robin play, plus two more of championship bracket play, with the championship game at 12 noon Sunday.
